Dean Steffen is a full time artist and carver- he makes his living from his folk art from clay, wood carving and paint. He is an avid fisherman and collector. He started selling his work on the internet in about 1995. He carved both with power carving as well by hand. His pleasure is the painting as he works each decoy up through a multiple coats to give realism to his decoys.
