Carlton Staples is believed to be from Hyannis Massachusetts and was born in 1924.
It is also believed that this is the same person as listed in the Oct. 17 1987 South Bay Auctions for a carving of a Striped Bass in Cape Cod Massachusetts. The carving mentions apparently was made for the New York Yacht Club Striper Tourament.
