Frank R Baron was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1931 and is a long time fisher. He was the chairman (2002)  of the Fish Decoy Division of the National Fishing Lure Collectors Club and co-founder of the Great Lakes Fish Decoy Collectors and Carvers Association.

Frank Baron is an author and historian of fish decoys. He authored the Commercial Fish Decoys – Identification & Value Guide and he co-authored the Bud Stewart – Michigan’s Legendary Lure Maker books.

Frank is very involved in the Great Lakes Fish Decoy Collector’s & Carver’s Assn. and its annual show. Frank has given many hours of his time to make sure that the art of fish decoys never dies.  http://www.glfda.com

In the Fish Decoy carving and collecting arena, Frank is just one of those special folks that makes the difference in fish decoy carving and collecting. Way to go Frank.
