Tom Weets is from Frazee, Minnesota and is a former student of John Jensen’s apprenticeship program. I was informed by Tom’s daughter that he also carves rainbow trouts and other species of fish. Tom wrote me and told me -I now live in Osage, MN and he was the first Apprentice ever in the State of Minnesota under Master Carver John Jensen. He also informed me that he was responsible for getting John Back into carving. Tom makes many different kinds of trout and working spear fishing decoys. He hand carves and paints his decoys.
