Kyle Sherod is from Montevideo, Minnesota and was born in 1971. . For a 36 year old (2008) who started carving in late 2002, he has mastered the art of carving and paints that brings his carvings to life. Below is an example of a stringer of bluegill that looks like they were just caught. They are carved from a block of tupelo wood and airbrushed stringer of 4 bluegill. Each fish measures 12 inches and he put over 70 hours to complete this stringer.
Kyle has been invited to attend the Wild Wings Fall Festival 4 years in a row and won the People’s Choice Award two years in a row.
