Frank Mizera is from an area about 20 or so miles north of Ely, Minnesota. the area is called the Boundary Waters. He and his wife, Josephine stayed at a lodge at Crooked Lake. He was born in 1898 in Ely Minnesota and was only one of eight children. In his early years Frank worked on iron ore boats on the Great Lakes. Frank ended up being a guide in the Boudery Water area until the mid 1960s when he suffered heart problems.
