Peter Rozumniak was born in 1916 in Buffalo New York. His made his home in Dearborn Michigan.
In the 1980s, Pete won the first fish decoy carving competition ever held in Michigan. Frank Baron reported that this competition might have been the very first competition of working fish spearing decoys ever anywhere in the world. It was held somewhere near Traverse City, Michigan.
