Jim Waters is from Owosso, Michigan. Jim does what many others do not – if you carve a replica, identify it as a replica. Jim identifies his decoys as replicas of older types. His are what is called legal MIKKO type. His decoys are well made and what many collectors need to fill out their collection. Some can only afford a replica – especially when the prices of decoys are skyrocketing.
Jim marks his on the bottom with “J. Waters” and the number of the decoy. The Pike is #22 & the Red White is #21.
