Dallas Valley is from Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. It is thought that as of 2007, Dallas has been carving both duck/bird and fish decoys for at leat 40 years.  Dallas signs his decoys with DJV stamped into the wood.
It was reported to me that his son Mike Valley is also a very good carver.
