Everette T. Peterson (1914-2002)
Bar Lake Fishing Tackle Company
Everette T. Peterson was born in 1914 and was the co-founder of the Bar Lake Fishing Tackle Company of Manistee, Michigan sometime in the 1930s and closed in the 40s. His partner was Soren Hansen.
The decoy that was made was called the Kingfish which was a sleek all wood body fish with metal fins. The early fish were poor swimmers and contributed to the failure of the company due to the returns and replacements. The Fish is a very desirable fish for collectors for the sleek form, colors and rarity.
