Bud Kromer was born in Fergas Falls, Minnesota and move to Ely, MN for work. He married and returned to Ferfas Falles and worked as an electrician. He and his wife Agnes returned to Ely and worked underground in the mines. Bud passed on on November 28, 1976 at the age of 60. He was friends with Frank Mizera and worked together at times to carve decoys.
